Hundred girl students have been selected for the Abhilasha Scholarship 2018, facilitated by EROS Group, the real estate giant. Today 25 girls out of the 100 selected for the scholarship were felicitated at a ceremony held at EROS Corporate Tower in Nehru Place here. The scholarship is awarded to meritorious girl students to enable them to continue their education.
EROS Group received around 2,800 applications from all over India, out of which 100 girl students were selected for the scholarship. They were given a cash award of Rs. 5,000 each. Read More
The scholarship is aimed at girl students from government schools, from disadvantaged backgrounds, and who have scored 75% or above in their exams. The scholarship has been established as part of the Group’s continued efforts to provide access to quality education especially, young girl students.

a 3-day campaign where students and teachers of various schools enthusiastically took part in a tree-plantation activity within their school premises.
The drive was initiated at Gyan Bharti School, Saket, on 26th August and was followed by Government Co-Ed School, Lajpat Nagar and Dr. Radhakrishnan International School, Defence Colony on 27th & 28th August respectively. The saplings planted include varieties such as Shehtoot, Neem, Mango, Jamun, Guava, Pomegranate, Tamarind, Amla etc.
Mr Avneesh Sood, Director, EROS Group, said, “ Caring for the environment is of utmost importance in the world. This year we decided to mark 72nd Independence by involving youngsters in planting saplings and spread environmental awareness. As Deforestation is an alarming issue as many forests are chopped down for industrial purposes. What people don’ t realize is that trees are fundamental to our existence and with increase of deforestation, this delicate balance held by mother nature would be disrupted. THE GREEN PLEDGE, through this initiative, effectively made people realize just how important it is for us to restore the “ clothes of mother nature” . It was a significant event, which positively encouraged people to plant more and more trees.
Through this remarkable initiative, 12 seasoned Herbal Trees were planted at the premises. Alongside planting saplings, attendees were also educated on tips to nurture plants and hence maintain green environment.
“ As EROS Group responsibility, this is our earnest endeavour to maintain the fragile balance of nature before the children of the future grow up seeing greenery only in books. It is time to reclaim the greenery back.” , said Mr. Avneesh Sood, Director, EROS Group.

Not limiting his virtue only to his family business to provide quality housing to home seekers, Mr. Avneesh Sood has always lent his helping hand for the betterment of society and people. He has been organizing such programs time and again with steadfast dedication in association with local administrative and governing bodies.

s day and made it more special at their recently awarded affordable housing project Eros Sampoornam.Underprivileged children were invited at the society to celebrate the day together with the kids of the residents of Eros Sampoornam.
The function was inaugurated by Mr. Nitin Choudhary, CIO-EROS Group who was accompanied by Mr. Sanjay Mathur (Sr. VP), Mr. Barun Dey (GM-HR), Mr. Govind Janoti (Sr.GM) and Col. D.N Sharma (GM) by distributing ART Kits and sketch books to the kids.
Rhyme citation competition along, drawing-sketching competition were conducted by Mr. Alakshendra Singh (Corporate Communications) to make the event more graceful by the joyous smile & cheering noise of the kids.
On behalf of EROS Group Director Mr. Avneesh Sood, Mr. Choudhary reiterated the commitment of the organization towards empowering growth and all-round development of the children, leaving apart the discrimination with underprivileged children. He conveyed that under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), initiatives of EROS Group shall always be at the forefront of taking philanthropic initiatives PAN INDIA.
The kids came together and celebrated their special day. 6 Encyclopedias were distributed as winning prize for best 3 entries in Rhyme citation and drawing competition respectively followed by snacks, sweets and refreshing juices.

Lastly, anti-pollution masks were distributed to all workmen at site when health emergency was declared by government due to polluted air.

frequent drinking of water is essential. The recent initiative by Eros Group is one such attempt to ease lives of the people during blistering summers. Mr. Avneesh Sood,
Director of Eros Group installed the first public drinking water RO system in the Greater Noida West which will provide cold water to the passers-by and labourers in this summer. By this kiosk,
the commuters and labourers will get access to drinking water round the clock. After the inauguration of this water RO system,
people will have the facility of drinking water,
so that they can escape the harsh heat and prevent themselves from dehydration and fatigue.
The Water system is installed at Eros Sampoornam. The taps are installed on the outer boundary of the project while the water plant is located inside the project premise from where it will be maintained by the society’ s administration. In Greater Noida there are many under construction projects in which thousands of labourers work in the fields, the Greater Noida Authority has asked the developers to come forward to provide simple facilities like drinking water. Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Sood said “ It is yet another social initiative by us to facilitate drinking water for public, as the summers here are unbearable and cold water would easily relief the thirsty people living or commuting in Greater Noida West region. Wellness and health go hand in hand therefore, this step was much needed to safeguard people from summer-related health issues. We hope that through this water system many people are able to quench their thirst” Everyone appreciated the noble initiative !

The newly planted trees would be kept under continuous maintenance by the Society administration and the residents as well. It was an initiative by Eros Group for a healthier earth !

where it took the onus of bringing warmth to the life of the needy by distributing blankets and winter clothing to them at their construction site of Eros Sampoornam located in Sector-2,
Greater Noida West. The occasion saw hundreds of labourers and their families turning up in order to collect the items. This activity was organised for labourers working on site at Sampoornam project as well as the underprivileged living nearby. The Group will now conduct this activity annually during the winter season across various regions.
For this philanthropic step, Eros Group organised a camp in which the distribution of blankets and other aid was done with the active participation of whole staff of Eros Sampoornam. Group’ s Director, Mr. Avneesh Sood was himself present with his staff during the distribution and also took care of the children present by providing books, pencils and notebooks for their education. He was also observed to be speaking at the event where he said, “ This distribution camp was just a generous gesture by us for the underprivileged and a little step towards their betterment during winters. We wish that the New Year brings lots of joy and happiness in their life.”
